Valerie Walker

Pioneer Ecumenical Community Chaplain

As a Pioneer Ecumenical Community Chaplain (a first for Scotland!), my role is to develop outreach and mission. The ethos of our working group is to connect discipleship values with local community aspirations and to expand a collective vision of hope, joy and justice.

As an ordained priest in the Scottish Episcopal Church, ecumenical relationships with other denominations are an essential part of our mission to reveal the unlimited love of our Creator. We regularly share worship and social events with our URC, SEC and RC neighbours, with whom we are producing the Fife Nativity Play at Lindores Abbey Distillery this December

Barbara Acheson

Barbara is our treasurer. Along with her team she ensures that Fife:- Eden Tay Church complies with accounting requirements to ensure that the finances are transparent and that the Church is accountable. Creating the right environment of openness, transparency, controls and accountability is important in order to protect:

  • Those handling finances in the church

  • The reputation of the church
